Welcome to the Middle of the Road. This is a combined book review blog, one that is both cherished and prided over. We want everyone who comes to our page to find something of intrest to them, so when they walk away they are either satisfied or intrigued. We are both avid readers and have a passion about books that few of our other friends do. Both of us are happy to share our experiences in the book world and at times some goodies too. Enjoy your time here, and if you are anything like us, you could spend hours just wandering aimlessly through the world of books, just like a lazy afternoon down the Middle of the Road.

Lover Mine by: J. R. Ward
Lover Mine is the eighth book in the Black Dagger Brotherhood series and it is the story of John Matthew. John Matthew is a VERY interesting character in all of these books but he is exceptionally so in Lover Mine.
John Matthew has fallen in love with Xhex who has been taken by the current fore lesser, Lash. AKA the son of the Omega. The brotherhood is doing everything in their power to find her but they really don't have much to go on in the beginning. Lash has lots of tricks up his sleeves and is by far much stronger than any "ordinary" lesser.
I don't like to give many spoilers in my reviews, but I will tell you that the end of this book is spectacular. All through the novel it has you thinking that there will be a sad ending once and for all, but...it turns out to be anything but a sad ending! I never saw it coming but I guess I should have considering there hasn't been a sad ending in the novels thus far. Ms. Ward always finds a way to make things work out for everyone.
*This is most definitely an ADULT novel.
