Welcome to the Middle of the Road. This is a combined book review blog, one that is both cherished and prided over. We want everyone who comes to our page to find something of intrest to them, so when they walk away they are either satisfied or intrigued. We are both avid readers and have a passion about books that few of our other friends do. Both of us are happy to share our experiences in the book world and at times some goodies too. Enjoy your time here, and if you are anything like us, you could spend hours just wandering aimlessly through the world of books, just like a lazy afternoon down the Middle of the Road.

Slow Burn by: Ednah Walters

First of all we would like to say thank you to Mindy Janicke and Ednah Walters for the amazing opportunity to be a part of the Slow Burn Blog Tour! Ladies, we have had an awesome time working with the both of you and we really enjoyed being a part of the tour!

Now for the book review:

All I can say is OMG! This is such a good book! Ms. Walters did a great job with it.

Slow burn is about Ashley Fitzgerald who lost both parents in a fire when she was fifteen years old and Ronald (Ron) Noble who lost his father in the same fire when he was twenty. There were rumors that Ron's father had started the fire but nobody knew for sure.

Ten years after the fire that killed their parents, Ron started receiving letters with names with no return address. The letters weren't written by hand or typed they consisted of names and notes written out in letters cut from a magazine. Nobody knows who sent the letters but obviously there were secrets about the fire that nobody wanted everyone to know.

Ron goes to Ashley for help in an investigation to find out everything that happened the night of the fire and realized that she may be a witness to it all. The only problem is that Ashley doesn't recall what happened the night of the fire. She only remembers small bits and pieces of the night. She chose to block certain parts of her memories when she was a child and as an adult she simply couldn't get those memories back. Ron convinces Ashley to go in to see a hypnotherapist and try to get those memories back.

Ashley doesn't know about the rumors that Ron's father may have started the fire that killed her parents and he didn't think it would be a good idea to tell her that little detail. He was afraid that she wouldn't help him with his investigation.

Ron and Ashley end up falling in love with each other and they have to finish their investigation before they can really start their lives together as a couple.

-This is a very adult book and is not recommended for anyone under the age of 18.
