Book Review: Star Crossed

I LOVED this book... ok well maybe not like OMG I can't live without it, but it was definitely up there on my GOOD books list :)

Helen has always been different, and she has always hated that fact. With it just being her and her dad, she has never really had anyone to talk to except her BFF Claire. Now there is a new family in town, and for some unknown reason Helen hates them, and she knows it has something to do with the reason she is different.

The first time she ever set eyes on Lucas, Helen wanted to rip him apart. She had never met this boy before in her life, but a hate so intense ran through her blood like nothing she had ever felt before.

Hating each other with such a heated passion didn't stop the fates from bringing them together.. Over and over again. Without any luck to stay apart, the fury and rage finally took over. Only the anger wasn't just happening to Helen, Lucas was having the same emotions course through his body as well.

When they finally couldn't take it anymore, they killed each other... Thus ending centuries old cycle of blood for blood. At least it ended the cycle where it concerned Claire and the Delos family. Others of her kind aren't so lucky.

Discovering what and who she is is more of a relief than a shock. Helen can finally come to terms with the fact that she is different, and she is finally surrounded by others who are just as strange as she is. Unfortunately all this new found power is also a curse. Without perfecting her abilities and treading careful water, the whole world could be at stake.

It all depends on how much she is willing to risk, and if Lucas and her are selfish enough to repeat mistakes of the past.

I would def recommend this book to anyone over the age of 15. It is a GREAT story and I can't wait for a sequel!!
